BeerHeadZ Needed to Name New Brew
To celebrate its re-opening, BeerHeadZ in Lincoln is giving customers the chance to name an exclusive beer that will be brewed specially for the company by Derbyshire-based nano-brewery Urban Chicken Ale.
In line with the easing of lockdown, BeerHeadZ in Lincoln is set to re-open its doors to the public on Monday 17th May after a year of on-off restrictions owing to the pandemic.
To celebrate the occasion, it is launching an exclusive beer in collaboration with Urban Chicken Ale and is asking customers to come up with a creative name for the beer which, once launched, will be available for a limited time at the BeerHeadZ pub in Lincoln.
The company has launched an online competition on its website and is asking beer lovers to submit their quirky beer name ideas via the online form by 31st May.
As well as having their name associated with the beer, the competition winner will receive vouchers for one gallon of the commissioned cask beer (and the same for a friend), which once released, will be served in the BeerHeadZ pub in Eastgate Lincoln.
The winner will also receive BeerHeadZ prizes including a curated box of craft beer.
Martin Johnson, Operations Director at BeerHeadZ, said: “It’s been a difficult year and we are hoping that the news of indoor hospitality businesses being able to re-open, together with this exclusive competition, will lift everybody’s spirits!”
As part of the re-opening week, BeerHeadZ has also partnered with Lincoln-based company Slow Rise Pizza which is headed up by founders Rosie Mawer and Lewis Pheby.
On Friday 21st May the food outlet which specialises in vegan and vegetarian Neapolitan-style pizzas will be offering BeerHeadZ customers the chance to order pizzas delivered to the pub via the company’s app for one night only.
Martin added: “We don’t currently offer food at BeerHeadZ, but we always welcome customers who want to bring or order food in.
“In line with government guidance strict safety measures will be in place; there will still be a limit of six people per table, we will be operating on a table service basis only and masks will need to be worn by customers when not seated.
“For our re-opening, we wanted to do something slightly different and what better than partnering with a fantastic and growing local business to bring customers the best of our city’s food and drink in one place for the evening?
“Customers will be able to order pizzas from Slow Rise via the company’s mobile app from 4.30pm till 8.30pm. Pizza and beer on a Friday night go perfectly together and we’re really looking forward to celebrating our re-opening week by offering customers a new experience.”
Those wanting to take advantage of this one-off opportunity to enjoy pizza and beer will be able to between 4.30 pm and 8.30 pm on Friday 21st May and customers will be served on a first-come, first-served basis – there is no booking system in place.
From Monday 17th May, BeerHeadZ will be open from 4 pm till 9 pm (Monday to Thursday), 2 pm till 10 pm (Friday and Saturday) and 2 pm till 8 pm (Sunday).
While BeerHeadZ will be open on Monday 17th May, going forwards the pub will be closed on Mondays except for Bank Holidays.
