Beer Focus: Signature Brew Stylus
Happy New Year folks, my first post of 2021! And we are starting it off with a Signature Brew beer.
Signature Brew has been busy during the lockdown, coming up with innovative ways of getting beer out to people and also releasing some special beers that I have had the greatest of pleasure in sampling. Kicking this off is “Stylus”.
“Stylus” is a 6% ABV, New England IPA (or NEIPA for short), brewed using Amarillo, Citra, Mosaic and Idaho 7 hops, all of which come together to give Stylus a big fruity, citrusy nose and flavour.
Right off the bat, you can smell the citrus and tropical fruit aromas coming to life with notes of dried apricots, vanilla, mango and soft fruits. Pouring into a glass the colour is hazy and looks almost like juice with slight carbonation and a great two finger head with sticky lacing.
Taking my first sip of this beer the taste is phenomenal with papaya, melon, peach and is very smooth with a slight bitterness at the end making this a juicy and fantastic NEIPA.
Like most IPAs this would work perfectly with a meaty, juicy burger and some loaded fries, or perhaps you could work this with some smoked brisket and burnt ends, perfect!
Let me know what you’ve been chugging over Christmas either in the comments or over on my Twitter.
Check out more beers from Signature Brew here and we have more exciting beers that I will be reviewing coming to this blog very, very soon!
See you all in the next post! Or check out my previous beer posts here.
