Scent Focus: Issey Miyake Nuit D’Issey
I’m a big fragrance head, there is no denying that. I love the more woody, tobacco, and darker notes in a perfume. For a very long time, my go-to perfume has been Versace’s Eros which is absolutely beautiful, very long lasting and full of everything that I look for in a fragrance. The notes that you can expect from Versace Eros is Tonka Bean, Vanilla and Cedarwood with a touch of Oak.
When looking for fragrances I have always browsed through the virtual shelves of Fragrance Direct due to their fantastic pricing and website structure. At work we often have various small companies come in to showcase their products, and this is where I came across the beauty that is Issey Miyake’s Nuit D’Issey.
This fragrance from Issey Miyake is very sophisticated to its Eau De Toilette brother, this is heavier with woods, leather and intense smokey notes with base notes of Patchouli, Pink Pepper, Incense, Tonka Bean and Ebony Tree wood make this fragrance very luxurious. I would highly recommend sampling this to ensure that this is for you, otherwise, grab the Eau De Toilette if you’re more into subtle and lighter notes.
I picked up the 125ml bottle for £59.99 from Fragrance Direct (check it out here), the RRP on this should be £70.00 so you’re getting a £10.01 saving on this, which is always fantastic.
I love this, however, this won’t be my daily wear due to the intense notes and will be my going out spray.
What is your favourite fragrance? Let me know in the comments. I’ll see you in the next post, cheers!
