Beer Focus: The Kernel ‘Table Beer’
The Kernel’s Table Beer, the new Pale Ale brewed with Citra and Simcoe hops giving you a stunning citrus infused experience.
As you probably might notice, I am a huge fan of The Kernel’s pale ale’s simply for the fact it’s everything I look for in a PA. Amazingly balanced citrus notes which work extremely well on the palate. Maybe if you aren’t a fan of a pretty hoppy beer, you might be suited with an IPA, then again, I’ve noticed pale ale’s vary from brewery to brewery.
The Kernel’s table beer is a classic session ale, very easy to drink with friends and/or consume on a night out in the town, the opportunities are endless with this one. The colour of the beer is a classic pale golden colour, with a very fresh, vibrant and alive aroma which is what I always look for in a pale ale. Upon the first mouthful, there’s a big initial juiciness coming from the hops leading to more citrus. Then a crispy tang of mineral water, with bitterness at the end to finish.
I could easily pair this with a good pasta dish (if you’re feeling a little adventurous) such as a classic carbonara or even a fish based pasta dish or paella to give you a little boost of flavour to the fish with the citrus notes.
Overall this Table Beer is something I would highly recommend for you to go out and buy from your local bottle beer store or head over to Eebria and pick up a bottle (or two).
