Beard Care: Mr Hobmore – Beard Balm

I’m a keen lover of beard care from beard oils, balms, shampoos to conditioners, softeners, washes to waxes. This time I got sent a beautiful beard balm from Mr Hobmore.

Mr Hobmore is a new company to come on to the beard care radar and firstly starting out with a pocket-sized beard balm (60ml tin). The beard balm is available in two different scents Citrus Grove which is the one that I got sent which is a beautiful sweet, citrus and orange balm which once on the beard lasts for a good few hours giving you a shine and softness before you feel like you need to top up.

The scent lasts also, I use this just before I head out so it is the last thing that I apply after getting ready or washed so that the product is on the beard for quite a while after but more-so for the scent to last and keep me smelling fresh.

With this being an oil-based balm which at first I thought that was a wax because I thought that it was solid, you’ll find that (depending on the length of your beard) you will only need to use around, roughly a pea-sized amount as this is very oily and you really don’t want to go crazy on this as a small amount will go a long way. I also noticed that there was also some little scrub, solid little bits in there of oil which will go away once you apply a little bit of pressure between your palms.

All of the balms contain your essential oils: Grapeseed Oil, Shea Oil, Jojoba Oil, Avocado Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Argan Oil (Moroccan Oil), Pure Vitamin E, Essential Oils, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Beeswax, Aloe Butter, Jojoba Wax, Lanolin, Apricot Butter, Mango Butter, Avocado Butter, Coconut Oil.

So a really great range of oils and butters being used to give your beard a shine, soften and frizz-free look – The use of the Argan Oil is another great addition as I use pure Argan Oil at night on both my hair and beard to give it strength and repair broken hair follicles and also reduces greasiness so the use of this in the balm really adds the advantage of giving your beard a great look throughout the day.

I found this to be a fantastic product, I’d highly recommend this to any other bearded gentlemen to give it a shot as at a very reasonable £14.00 you cannot go wrong.

What is your daily beard routine?
